This is a series of urban landscapes of Shanghai, captured from a drone's perspective and presented in black-and-white tones ranging from light to dark gray. It showcases the myriad towering new and old buildings, evoking a century of the city's history and transformation. The photographs focus on the most bustling and concentrated architectural cluster along the Huangpu River. Using an ultra-wide-angle lens and a black-and-white gradation technique that emphasizes near-large, far-small perspectives, the complexity of color is dramatically reduced, allowing the architectural imagery to achieve a distilled and intense expression. This pushes the visual impact of the series to an extreme height.
