Evoking memories of when I was a child in the south of France, following my much-older sister as we walked to school. She typically would walk very fast, presumably to separate herself from me. I, typically, would walk slowly and looked at the various flowers in people's gardens. I imagined little faces in the blooms and wondered if they remembered me as I walked by every weekday.
