During the long Sicilian summers, some important and evocative religious processions are celebrated. One of the most captivating is that of Our Lady of Custonaci, in Trapani, where the picture depicting Mary is carried by boat to the shore and greeted by the faithful. All around are street vendors, authorities, priests, tourists and onlookers.
