I made this photograph of the bottom of Montmorency Falls from a suspended bridge crossing the river. Located in Quebec City, these falls are higher than Niagara Falls and very spectacular. It was not easy to frame the photo the way I wanted because of the wind, movement of the bridge, and steep fall. Right from the moment I saw the shape of the water falling below, I envisioned a contrasted black and white image framed square with the bottom of the Fall in the center to attract attention of the viewer to the water that will continue its way under thick ice sugarloaf.
