Clarksdale, Mississippi is considered the epicenter of the American Blues music scene. The Juke Joint Music Festival was occurring while I was visiting. For two days famed blues musician Little Joe Mclerran was performing on the front porch of the Cat Head Delta Blues Art store with his son and daughter. I think by the end of the second day the daughter became emotionally distraught when there were no tips to show for all their efforts. The highs and lows of a traveling musician.
