This series explores the integration of motion control with hybrid photographic processes, combining analog optical principles with digital capture. The images are created through a controlled sequence of exposures in which movement becomes an active component of image construction. Using a custom-built motion control system, elements within the frame are moved with programmed precision during exposure. This allows motion to be shaped, repeated, interrupted, or layered over time, transforming it from a visual effect into a compositional tool. The resulting forms are not captured moments, but constructed trajectories of light and position. The process builds on analog techniques such as composite masking and multiple exposure, extending them into a dynamic framework. While digital capture is used, it functions primarily as a recording medium within a physically driven system. The image is formed through the interaction of motion, light, and exposure rather than through post-production assembly. Each composition emerges from a balance between control and variation. Programmed movements define structure, while subtle shifts in timing and exposure introduce complexity. This creates images that exist between precision and fluidity, where motion is both measured and expressive. The work reflects a broader evolution of photography. As digital tools have become dominant, the medium has shifted toward post-production manipulation. This project repositions image-making within the act of capture, reintroducing physical processes while expanding them through motion-based control. The resulting images present motion as a visual language—one that constructs form, rhythm, and spatial ambiguity through time rather than through static representation.
